Exceptional Quality, Local Craftsmanship
By Judy Linsz Ross
John and Tom Inselmini learned about exceptional quality and local craftsmanship from a young age. Their father Bruno Inselmini was a master stone mason and instilled in his two sons, the characteristics of a strong work ethic and dedication to construction excellence.
Today, John and Tom, along with business partner Pat Dicesere, operate Inselmini Construction Company, one of most well-respected home and commercial builders in central Westmoreland County.
ABOUT ICC the BUILDER
John and Tom began offering home remodeling and light construction services to the area surrounding their native Latrobe in 1975. Both saw the potential for growth and development of the region, so the Inselminis remained here to expand their business. Throughout the seventies and early eighties, the scope of their work increased from home remodeling to custom home building and commercial construction.
Then in 1985, when the Inselmini brothers recognized a need for apartments and townhomes in the area, Inselmini Rental Company was established. Knowing that the same construction principles of sensible design, sound insulation, ample storage and large room sizes would attract the highest quality tenants, they proceeded with their plan. Today the Inselmini Rental portfolio consists of 35 townhomes, 5 single family homes, 18 mini-storage units and 2 commercial office buildings.
In 1996, Inselmini Construction was incorporated and moved into a new facility along Route 982 in Bradenville. Today the full time staff includes job foremen, clerical support, carpenters, painters and labors. Their full service shop and garage are located adjacent to the office building.
For nearly 40 years, Inselmini Construction has helped its customers by always using the latest construction materials and techniques. New and changing building codes in the industry and state of the art materials are constantly introduced to the marketplace. In addition to incorporating these new products, Inselmini Construction stays active in trade organizations participating in continuing education and seminars for builders who wish to expand their knowledge and expertise.
With dedication to staying current on building trends combined with their years of experience, Inselmini Construction can tackle complex or difficult home renovation projects.
Case in point: A local couple called upon ICC for a solution to their home’s awkward architecture created by additions done at different times. Inselmini Construction proposed an unconventional way to solve this problem – to raise the roof!
By raising the entire roof, the prior additions were connected and this greatly improved the look of the home’s exterior. To see before and after pictures of this project, visit www.iccthebuilder.com/renovations.
COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
As proud members of their community, John, Tom and Pat volunteer their time and expertise with Habitat for Humanity and the Westmoreland Professional Builders Association (WPBA), a member organization that, in addition to promoting home building and renovation, provides annual scholarships to area students.
John and Pat have both served as President of the WPBA Board of Directors and each have each been named “Builder of the Year” twice for their outstanding contribution to the organization and their commitment to excellence.
Inselmini Construction also supports its local schools’ athletic programs and area arts organizations. In addition, ICC staff work with area students to encourage continuing education in trade schools.
Inselmini Construction was founded with the mission to provide uncompromising quality and to deliver exceptional customer service to all clients. These values guide every job, no matter how large or small the project. Earning the trust and respect of its clients is what matters to the Inselmini Construction Company team.
